In 2001 Precitech and General Electric partnered the SPS 1000 gage to be sold to GE’s maintenance, repair and overhaul marketplace. Prior to this, SPS otherwise known as Genspect gages were sold exclusive to General Electric. The product itself was designed and manufactured by Precitech. The software however was developed by GE. To date all manuals for GE products in the Turbine/Aerospace industry state the Precitech SPS 1000 piece part and stack prediction gage as the standard for part measurement. To date Precitech has approximately 85 gages installed worldwide for piece part and stack prediction within the aerospace and turbine industry.
