Keith J. Kowalski
Division Vice President and Business Manager
Keith J. Kowalski joined AMETEK Precitech in 2011 as the Divisional Vice President and Business Unit Manager for Precitech. With over 15 years of technology, manufacturing, commercialization and global business experience, Keith offers the balanced leadership to further strengthen and solidify Precitech’s position as a world leader in the Ultra Precision Diamond Turing machines.
Keith has a BS in Mechanical and Materials Engineering from the University of Connecticut. He has previously held several technical leadership positions within the Haydonkerk Motion Solutions business unit of AMETEK and was most recently Vice President of Technology. He holds several patents in the motion control field and was a key team member in the establishment of Haydonkerk’s operating presence in China. Keith brings a focus on providing the optimum technology and value proposition to Precitech’s customers while ensuring an uncompromised standard of excellence in both product and service.
Dr. Jeffrey Roblee
Director of Research & Development
Dr. Jeffery Roblee joined AMETEK Precitech in 2002, and he is the Director of Product Engineering. Dr. Roblee began his engineering career at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory in 1977. There he developed ultra-precision machine tools and measuring instruments for use in optics fabrication. Of particular note was his participation in the original design team of the Large Optics Diamond Turning Machine, which is still considered to be the most accurate machine tool ever built. His research work led to a 14 month assignment at Philips Research Laboratory in The Netherlands in 1986 and then to a research position at Carl Zeiss in Oberkochen, Germany in 1990. As a member of the Optical Process Development Laboratory at Zeiss, he led many projects to significantly improve the fabrication time, precision and finish of optical components.
In late 1993 Dr. Roblee joined the Optical Engineering Department at Polaroid Corporation. At Polaroid, Dr. Roblee led a program to develop a laser print head for use in making medical images, and he was active in many optical fabrication projects. By early 2001 he was a Technical Director leading four departments, including the Optical Engineering Department.
Dr. Roblee holds a number of patents and awards, and he has presented numerous papers on temperature control, machine dynamics, air bearing design, optics fabrication and opto-mechanics. He is an active member of the European Society of Precision Engineering and Nanotechnology, and the American Society of Precision Engineering. From 2007 to 2009, he has been a member of the Board of Directors of ASPE, and he served as its President in 2008. Jeffrey W. Roblee has a M.S. and Ph.D., both in mechanical engineering, from the University of California at Berkeley.
Daniel W. Lawrence
Director of Business Operations
Daniel W. Lawrence joined AMETEK Precitech in 2010 as the Director of Business Operations. Daniel has an extensive background of 19 years in various operations and general management roles, in a wide range of industries throughout the world. Daniel brings to AMETEK Precitech a strong customer focus, and is committed to exceeding customer expectations at the lowest possible cost.
Daniel has a BS & MS in Chemical Engineering from Clarkson University and an MBA from Southern New Hampshire University. He has worked in a number of operations, quality, and general management positions for companies such as GE and Danaher.
Jonathan W. Harman
Director of Sales and Marketing
Jonathan W. Harman joined AMETEK Precitech in 2008 as Director of Global Sales and Marketing. Jonathan has an extensive background of over 28 years in the design, marketing and sales of production capital equipment to a broad range of industries throughout the world. Jon brings to AMETEK Precitech a strong background in international sales, particularly in Asia, and a clear focus on product value to meeting customer expectations.
Jonathan has a BS in Chemical Engineering and an MBA from the University of Connecticut. He has worked in a number of engineering, product management, marketing, sales and general management positions for companies such as Monsanto and Emerson Electric. These experiences have assisted him in growing the international business for Ametek Precitech and expanding their market footprint into new areas.
