The Nanoform 700 Ultra is a large capacity ultra-precision machining system designed for the production of both single point diamond turning and deterministic micro-grinding of optical lenses, optical mold inserts, mirrors and precision mechanical components. Applications include the manufacture of components used in optical, security and defense, aerospace, and electronic systems. The machine offers a 700mm swing capacity, 350mm over the optional B-axis. When the Nanoform 700 ultra is fitted with an optional B & C-axes, the lathe can follow 4-axes of continuous path motion.

  • Precitech’s industry leading motion control architecture with 0.01 nanometer programming resolution, and 32 picometer feedback resolution.
  • High stiffness hydrostatic oil bearing slideway design and linear motor drive technology used for the X and Z linear axis.
  • Elevated X-axis provides increased swing capacity while minimizing Abbe offset error.
  • Self-leveling, dual chamber, pneumatic isolation system.
  • On-machine workpiece balancing system.
  • Linear motors are coupled to true linear amplifiers.
  • Precitech High Performance SP150, air-bearing spindle has a load capacity of 68Kg and spindle speeds of 7,000 rpm. The HD-160 has a load capacity of 102 Kg and spindle speeds of 5,000 rpm.
  • 8” vacuum chuck for work piece mounting.

Precitech designs and builds their own hydrostatic oil bearing sideways with optimized stiffness and damping characteristics, liquid cooled slides for thermal stability and our own motorized air bearing spindles that allow us to maintain close control over quality and delivery.
